Tautoro School

In 2021 we were engaged by Mitre 10 to work with them and their Helping Hands team to build fantastic new playgrounds for six lucky schools – Tautoro School in the Far North was the sixth deserving school.

Tautoro School had been fundraising for several years with the aim providing a playground for their rapidly expanding roll and the wider community. Being one of the Project Playground winners allowed the school to expand on their plans, taking the new playground from great to AWSOME! The playground features a customised version of our Freyberg Epic design, as well as a 6m tall Kiwi Spacenet.

Principal Tracey Simeon says: “Blair and the Playground People Team were amazing, hardworking and they are known to me as the dreamcatchers. I enjoyed working with this company and I highly recommend them. I have the ultimate playground for our students now and every day I smile... just like my students.”

The playground is a hit with the kids and is enjoyed by the whole community. We are stoked to have worked with Mitre 10 on their incredibly generous Helping Hands initiative which has enabled a number of schools to give their current and future students amazing play spaces that they will use for many years to come.
