The Hinaki (Maori Fish Trap) consists of two interlaced networks of robust Corocord rope and steel frames, which taper towards the middle. Yet the exclusive shape is not the only thing that distinguishes this special climbing structure: The Corocord membranes designed just for this equipment have a very individual look: a "netted" shoal of fish was cut out of the material using a high-pressure water jet.
Corocord ropes are used exclusively and only for Corocord rope products. All Corocord ropes are inductively treated. By this special Corocord technique, used over 40 years, the polyester (PES) wrapping is melted on to each of the six-strands by induction. This ensures permanent protection inside the ropes while preserving a soft grip for the children’s hands.
